Middle School Opening This Fall

The children regularly use the library within their class for research and learning purposes. In addition, each class visits the library once a week to choose a new book to bring back home for the week.

The school will teach a child how to read, however we believe that it is the parents who help promote the love of reading. It is therefore important to spend time reading the books that the children bring back home, but also discuss their choice of story and use the time as a way to create an intimate moment with them. Should parents wish to have the library books changed more frequently, they can see this with the library head/ Parent Association.

A word from our librarian:

"Hi children!

I am Sharyn, the librarian. Today, you will be visiting the library and borrow books home. I am so excited to meet you.

Later, your teachers will show you how to treat the books well, and how to put the books back to the shelves where they belong. So let's learn to respect the books in school as well as at home!

A golden reminder: the book you borrow will be the passport to borrow future books.

If in any event, if you aren't able to come during library times, please bring your borrowed book back anytime... look for me or your teacher and we can exchange it for a new one.

Guard your book well and have an exciting library time every Thursday! "
