Middle School Opening This Fall

Our Community

Children attending FIS come from around the world: USA, UK, Germany, Holland, Venezuela, Taiwan, Argentina, France, Greece, Switzerland... As most of the staff are also from international backgrounds, we are sensitive to the challenges involved in adapting to a new setting, and aware of the importance of the school to any expatriate. Therefore our school offers a happy, friendly atmosphere to help the children settle in their new life as quickly as possible. We are a tight-knit community, where staff members know the names of all children and parents alike. Our Parent Association also plays an important role in making new families feel at home, offering a variety of events and activities (specific country-related festivities, coffee mornings, walks and tours in the region, French classes... etc.).

We provide newsletters that are a key part of life in the school and is sent on a regular basis to all parents about school life. Along with the weekly parent association email, they contain details and pictures of recent events as well as all the up and coming events and diary dates. The class teachers write about their class' learning so all parents can hear about the projects, as well as any trips happening in the school.
